PNC Records Officer

NYP are proud to announce we are seeking a committed and self-motivated individual to become a PNC Records Officer and join the PNC Records Office team based in Northallerton.

PNC Records Officer duties primarily relate to the creation, management and disclosure of PNC offence processing information relating to events such as arrest and court appearances. All aspects of this work require an excellent eye for detail to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies at the earliest opportunity. The successful applicant will liaise with NYP colleagues of various ranks and external contacts in order to clarify information and update the PNC with accurate information.

PNC Records Officers operate and interrogate other force & departmental record keeping systems in accordance with local procedures to identify work required and address any problems promptly.

This is a challenging but rewarding role. It would suit someone with excellent IT and communication skills together with the ability to make sound decisions and work effectively both individually and as part of a team.

  • Maintain a specialist knowledge of systems, policy and procedure relevant to the role
  • Identify and record prescribed offence information on PNC
  • Create and maintain accurate data for the purpose of record management/audit
  • Attend and participate in meetings, taking notes as required, and brief colleagues effectively
