Job Title: Personal Assistant

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510, basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Westminster

 

The Professionalism Private Office is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and organised individual to join the team as Personal Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC Andy Valentine).

Location: Split across two sites - New Scotland Yard, Westminster and Cobalt Square, Vauxhall

Working Pattern: One WFH day per week depending on operational demand

Description

The role holder will provide comprehensive, confidential, and professional support service in all aspects concerned with the efficient and successful operation of the Professionalism Private Office and wider organisation.

The PA role is a ‘front of house’ role and is often the initial contact point along with other members of the Private Office. Across all groups contact is made face-to-face, through email or telephone. The stakeholders include:

  • DACs, Commanders and Directors
  • Met Executive including Management Board; daily contact, the purpose of which ranges from coordinating of Directorate objectives and priorities in support of business group risks/delivery, diary management and event planning.
  • Responding to high-risk queries, complaints and managing expectations.
  • Directorate SLT (Senior Leadership Team); daily, enabling delivery of their function’s priorities.
  • Other Private Offices; enabling link up between work/actions across directorates.
