Note:The current government funding for this role is from the Home Office . At the time of advertisement, funding has not been confirmed by the Home Office for 2026/27 onwards, however we feel confident that funding will continue beyond this financial year for several years to come. It is expected that at the point the recruitment process concludes, we’d be able to provide an update regarding the duration of contract beyond this financial year.

About the team

The role is part of the National Police Chief Council’s national cyber crime team who are led by the Commissioner of City of London Polic.

The team are responsible for delivering national initiatives on behalf of all police forces within England and Wales and other law enforcement partners.

About the role

The Performance Analyst will have a vital role in working within the NPCC national cyber crime team to develop, improve and enhance the systems and standards across the response to cyber crime within policing in England & Wales.

As part of their many roles and responsibilities, the Performance Analyst will provide reports on National cyber crime team, program evaluation, as well as statistical analysis for the NPCC national cyber crime team which will in turn be used to improve outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across Law Enforcement in England & Wales.

Hybrid working - This Police Staff role adheres to Corporation of London’s hybrid working policy, which requires a 60% office attendance rate. The specifics of this will be discussed locally with your hiring manager if you’re successful for the role.

Responsibilities

  • To work within the NPCC national cyber crime team to identify opportunities to improve the victim experience for individuals and businesses.
  • Participating in the development of plans to ensure improvement in the quality of the cyber crime response
  • Identify trends and patters and areas for improvement
  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting performance against targets and objectives

Requirements

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage own workload whilst maintaining high technical standards
  • Experience in research and statistical analysis
  • Previous experience with implementation of programme benefits & outcomes
  • Knowledge of performance management processes

This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK. Also, due to this role requiring MV/SC (REMOVE AS NEEDED) level vetting, you need to have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years. This residency needs to be in the immediate 5 years prior to this application. As part of the initial application process, you will be asked to evidence how your experience, skills, and knowledge demonstrate your ability to meet the person specification of the role.

The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.

Applicants who fail to address the skills/knowledge/experience of the job description will not be considered.
