About the role
The People Coordinator provides the first line response to the Force and external customers on all areas of generalist HR matters. Working closely with the Associate People Partner's, this role will facilitate effective HR Processes, coordinate the first line support and ensure a high level of customer service.
What you will be doing
- Managing a busy service desk to respond to first line enquiries from officers, staff and the public.
- First line guidance and support on HR policies
- Coordination of HR processes, including but not limited to resignations, maternity and parental leave, career breaks, probation periods and flexible working
- Ensuring all the HR systems are maintained and kept up to date and providing the first line support for related queries and tasks
- Supporting with the development of the systems and continuous improvement of our processes.
- Interrogate the systems and surveys to produce reports on a regular basis to the Talent and People Partner Team in relation to sickness, performance and employment data
- Undertake designated project work and additional related tasks as required to ensure the service we provide meets the needs of the organisation
About you and your experience
- Demonstrable relevant experience within a HR Coordinator or HR Administrator role
- Experience of working within a busy customer service focused function
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in both oral and written format to personnel at all levels within the organisations
- Flexibility and creativity in ideas, finding solutions to problems and approach to work
- Ability to consistently produce work to the highest standards, within time constraints and to meet challenging deadlines
