PC Disruption Coordinator - Regional Disruption Team - SOC Coordination (SEROCU)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) as a Police Constable Disruption Coordinator within the Regional Disruption Team (RDT).

The RDT plays a critical role in reducing the harm caused by serious and organised crime across the South East region. The team focusses on identifying, developing, and delivering innovative and effective disruption activity against the highest harm offenders and networks.

This role is suited to officers who are proactive, motivated, and willing to think differently about how organised crime can be disrupted. You will be confident working with a range of policing teams and external partners, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional networks.

You’ll need experience in planning and executing operations such as arrest/search/multi-agency activity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while building effective partnerships. Desirable qualifications include experience working with partner agencies, and accreditation in Method of Entry and Taser. This role offers flexibility and variety, with deployments across the South East region, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, multi-agency environments and is committed to continuous improvement and organisational learning.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver innovative disruption activity across the South East, identifying and exploiting opportunities to prevent, deter and disrupt priority criminality.
  • Collaborate with the GAIN Coordinator to develop effective partnerships.
  • Create disruption plans to support LROs/SIOs in tackling crime groups, using the 4Ps (Pursue, Protect, Prevent, Prepare).
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with local and regional policing teams, government departments and key private-sector partners to maximise operational impact.
  • Represent the Regional Disruption Team at local force and partner forums, acting as a knowledgeable and proactive advocate for RDT priorities, sharing best practice, influencing decision-making and strengthening collaborative working.
  • Plan and coordinate policing operations, including search warrants and resolution activity; secure resources and liaise with partners.
  • Advocate for the identification and implementation of ‘best practice’ and operational learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Please note that this role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you may be required to travel for business purposes mainly across the South East region and occasionally throughout the UK. Therefore, the successful candidate will require a full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to obtain and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.

You can find more information about security vetting here.

Please note that this is a PC-designated position. If you are currently employed as a DC and choose to apply, any additional payments associated with your DC role will be discontinued upon appointment
