OSS FCC Communications Operator Supervisor

Role Purpose

  1. To assist the Force Incident Manager in the management of the Operational Floor and to supervise all staff under their control.
  2. To be responsible for the resources of the force’s communications operators, switchboard, Mentors and Calendar administration facilities for North Wales Police, ensuring that the relevant qualitative and quantitative performance targets are met, preparing and disseminating appropriate reports as required.
  3. To assist the Force Incident Manager in ensuring an appropriate policing response is provided to all ongoing operational incidents.

You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirement for the role:

  1. NVQ level 4 in Customer Care subject, or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience in a busy related environment which includes dealing directly with the public.
  2. Have experience of motivating and developing staff.
  3. Good communication skills together with the ability to work well in a team environment or on their own initiative.
  4. The use of information technology to an intermediate level together with knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  5. Ability to type/word process to 30 wpm.
  6. Ability to rapidly assimilate and prioritise incoming information and intelligence
