Role: Office Manager (Beaconport)

Contract Type: Temporary – 12 months.
The Office Manager will be integral in supporting Operation Beaconport, investigations selected nationally for further review into group-based child sexual exploitation and abuse between 2010-2025.
The role ensures investigations are conducted to the highest of standards, in order to safeguard victims and to ensure that reasonable lines of enquiry are pursued to bring offenders to Justice. The office manager shall provide that investigative oversight and level of quality assurance.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the efficient running of the investigation, ensure adequate staffing and resources.
- Quality assure documents entering the investigation, ensure actions are raised and allocated accordingly.
- In the absence of higher management, brief, task, and provide technical supervision and on Investigations.
- Participate in management meetings advising higher management on the current state of the enquiry and ensure actions required are conducted.
- Chair meetings when appropriate.
- Deputise in the role of Investigation Team Manager and Receiver/Reader as appropriate.
- Have responsibility for overtime budgets and finances.
- Supervise and mentor staff within the team to ensure tasks are completed satisfactorily.
- Where the HOLMES system is utilised, the role will carry out Office Manager functions within the MIR as set out in MIRSAP.
Carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose and grading of the post that may from time to time be determined.
Skills and experience:
Previous Supervisory experience
Experience of managing PIP2 investigations
Computer Literate
Must be able to successfully complete the HOLMES training course.
Excellent communications skills both written and oral and knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
