The Occupational Health Screening Nurse role will see you working in a skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary team that are proactive in providing professional and customer focused advice, support, assessments and guidance to managers, staff and prospective employees in relation to physical and mental wellbeing.
 You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of police officer and staff recruitment medicals  and the delivery of our statutory health surveillance programmes.

This post will be based predominantly at our Occupational Health and Wellbeing unit based at Sedgley Park Training Centre, Prestwich, M25 0JT but there will be some requirement to travel to other GMP venues on occasions for training purposes and to deliver health promotion activities.

Occupational Health experience in either the public or private sector would be an advantage as would experience of the policing environment, however for the right candidate who will complement our existing team, bring transferrable skills and can demonstrate a passion for improving workforce health and wellbeing, then experience may not be necessary as full training will be provided.

The role offers a generous annual leave entitlement of 24 days + bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years, and 32 after 10 years of service (pro rata). The post is for 4 days (29 hours/week) due to current resources this will be Tuesday to Friday working; we would be willing to consider applicants who only wish to work 3 days.
