MARAC Coordinator

Full time vacancy 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our partners in Loddon Valley to support the most vulnerable, helping to combat domestic abuse, support survivors and bring perpetrators to justice. 

The successful candidate will coordinate the MARAC process providing links between police and other partners in efforts to minimise the risk of domestic abuse to victims. 

The role is hybrid working which allows candidates flexibility during their working day. The role holder has a key role in identify victims of high-risk DA through partnership work, and helping ensure safeguarding is in place across agencies. This involves arranging and following up safeguarding meetings with minutes & actions and updating systems. The role critical to safeguarding victims beyond Thames Valley, with the role holder responsible for out of force enquires for victims that have fled DA and has relocated to the Berkshire area, liaising with partner agencies / Domestic Abuse Investigation Unit’s / Other Police Forces to obtain information and updates, as well as providing statistic evidence for internal and third sector understanding of risk and developing best practice.  

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to forge positive relationships both inside and outside the Force along with the ability to display sensitivity, tack and discretion and maintain confidentiality. You will also need the ability to work with minimum supervision with proven problem solving, time management and organisation skills. 

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly.  Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
