MARAC Co-Ordinator-Fixed Term Contract Until March 2029

About the department
The MARAC team are responsible for ensuring that safeguarding and risk issues are identified and effectively managed through the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) in West Midlands, and work alongside the other existing MARAC Coordinators. This panel brings together multiple agencies to identify risk and works to protect the victims of the most serious domestic violence and abuse.
 

About the role
 Fixed Term Contract until at least March 2029.
As a MARAC Co-Ordinator for West Midlands Police, you will coordinate and administer MARAC panel by receiving referrals and risk assessments, setting the agenda, completing minutes and actions, and ensuring that partner agencies complete their actions. This will be as part of a team of other MARAC co-ordinators across the West Midlands region, with a view of support being offered and received as required. 
You will have a key role to play in analysing the data that comes out of the panel, to identify where there are gaps in referrals and to ensure that agencies are working with all victims, including those from minority or hard to reach groups. This will include preparing performance reports on the MARAC for partnership meetings. As the MARAC expert, you will develop and deliver training sessions to partner agencies to raise awareness of the MARAC process and violence against women and girls.

Qualifications required:

•    GCSE level with at least 5 GCSEs Grades A-C to include English and Mathematics. Or the equivalent. Or experiential learning.

Hours and Location:

This role is a full time role based and West Bromwich Police Station. 

Vetting: Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.

Medical: Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and hearing test.

Interviews: Interviews will take place week commencing 27th April.
