We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Disclosure Officer to join the East Midlands Special Operations Unit Major Crime (EMSOU-MC). Supporting major crime investigations across the region, you will play a vital role in ensuring disclosure obligations are met and that investigations are managed fairly, professionally and in accordance with legislation.
What You'll Be Doing- Reviewing and assessing material gathered during major crime investigations.
- Preparing and maintaining disclosure schedules in line with CPIA requirements.
- Identifying material relevant to prosecution and defence considerations.
- Working closely with investigators, the CPS and legal teams.
- Supporting the preparation of case files and assisting at court when required.
- Maintaining disclosure records and information on HOLMES.
Effective disclosure is critical to the integrity of the criminal justice process. Your work will help ensure that major crime investigations are conducted fairly, lawfully and transparently, supporting successful prosecutions while maintaining public confidence.
What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work with complex and sensitive information. You should be confident analysing information, maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience within a criminal justice, investigative or disclosure environment would be advantageous.
