Job Title: Logistics, finance and administrative support staff
Salary: The starting salary is £36,228, which includes allowances totalling £3,009 pro-rota.
The salary is broken down as £33,219 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £35,541 Pro-Rota. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000 pro-rota.
Location: Gravesend
We are looking for someone to undertake a 50% job share working in the administrative support function in MO19 Firearms Training at the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre, based in Gravesend, Kent.
This role attracts pay and benefits commencing at Spine Point 1 for the Band E1- position.
The working day(s) can be flexibly negotiated by the successful candidate throughout the week between the hours of 0800-1600 - totalling 18 hours across Monday - Friday
The role involves:
- Managing equipment stores and training logistics on site at MPSTC.
- Being part of a permanent administrative support team, which will be a mix of Police Officer/Police Staff.
- Managing order processes through the PSOP system on the MPS computer system
- Raising PSOP orders for Specialist kit & equipment.
- Setting up and managing vendors and contracts
- Ensuring invoices are accurate, approved, and processed for payment.
- External course booking
- Ordering keys
- Liaise with Equans (Training Site facilitators) on small project requests.
- Maintaining databases for uniform stock control and conducting stock takes.
- Issuing kit to instructors.
- Organising the disposal of uniform items.
- Provide financial support and assistance to Band C as required
- Management of MPSTC Admin mailbox
