Job Title: Leadership Delivery Co-ordinator

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Central London Locations and Hendon and Marlowe House 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leadership Academy within the Learning and Development Command of the Metropolitan Police. 

We are looking for leadership delivery co-ordinators who will co-ordinate the delivery of our leadership programmes and support course administration, including management of the Leadership Academy inbox, action tracker, course materials, classroom set-ups, logistics, venues, guest speaker scheduling, and refreshment bookings. The role also involves administering Academy bookings for conferences and facilitator CPD days, supporting the SLT with the co-ordination of administrative tasks, and working collaboratively with the leadership curriculum design team and wider L&D colleagues. 

You will also assist delegates with LMS enquiries and during course delivery, helping to ensure the MPS has confidence that colleagues receive the appropriate training for their specific role and meet the required national standards or licences where applicable. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a team of administrators to support the leadership programmes 
  • Administration tasks to support delivery, e.g. inbox, logistics and scheduling 
  • Collaborate with curriculum design team and wider L&D     
  •  Support SLT and facilitators to deliver training 
  • Support the SLT to deliver the strategic training learning plans.  
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of the administration tasks within Leadership Academy.   
  • Role holder must operate independently and as part of the team and be accountable for their part of the programme delivery.    
  • Responsible for managing the admin team to support delivery    
  • Responsible for working on collaboration with L&D and other leadership programmes  
  • Responsible for ensuring the administration tasks are completed to support the leadership learning objectives and principals.    
  • Manage HR processes effectively when necessary to ensure staff are fully supported.   
  • Manage any inappropriate incidents in class and escalate appropriately

  • Excellent written communication skills.     
  • Experience of leadership up to first line level  
  • Experience of working with a team and engaging with senior leaders.   
  • Experience in delivering work under pressure and to tight timelines.  
  • Experience of effective management of staff and demonstrating staff development.  
  • A proven track record of leading a team through administration tasks.  
  • Excellent organisational skills 
  • Good time management skills 
  • Ability to work on own and as part of the team 
  • Identify risk and escalate with necessary to line manager.   
  • Effective decision-making skills  
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written  
  • Knowledge and experience of utilising different learning delivery methods 
  • Experience with Microsoft packages (Excel/PPT/SharePoint/Word)

The locations for this role are across the MPS estate, including but not limited to Senate House, Peel Centre Hendon, NSY and Marlowe House & other external estates. Flexibility is essential to meet the criteria of the role as and when required.
