Job Title: Leadership Academy Facilitator

Salary: The starting salary is £48,995, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £45,986 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £54,863. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

Location: Central London locations, & Hendon, Marlowe House

 

In line with A New Met for London to develop a strong cohort of leaders, the Commissioner has made a commitment to help set our Officers and Staff up to succeed by working towards a leadership development programme for all staff every year.

This will be delivered through the New Leadership Academy providing a contemporary learning offer to our officers and Police Staff Equivalent grades. To achieve this, we need a strong team of expert facilitators to build our leadership capabilities in the Met to deliver more trust, less crime and high standards.

Working in the Met’s Leadership Academy team within Learning and Development, the role holder will be responsible for working as part of the team delivering high quality training and facilitating, of the Met’s leadership development programme. This includes taking a lead role in delivery of our leadership programmes to practitioners (officers and Police Staff equivalent grades), design of our leadership programmes and growing our internal facilitation capability.

Also working in the Met’s Leadership Academy team within Learning and Development, there are also opportunities for some role holders to be responsible for working as part of the team delivering high quality design and iteration of the Met’s leadership development programme. This includes developing material to be delivered within the leadership programmes at all levels – from first line leaders to senior/ strategic leaders, design of our leadership programmes and growing our internal facilitation capability.

Location and working hours:

Our courses are delivered face to face in a classroom environment Monday to Friday 8 – 4 generally. The locations for delivery are across the MPS estate, including but not limited to Senate House, Peel Centre Hendon, NSY and Marlowe House & other external estate. Flexibility is essential to meet the criteria of the role as and when required.

L&D supports flexible working, and this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Posting Information:

This will be a permanent full-time role in L&D Delivery Services. Postings will take place in line with the next corporate posting schedule once the selection process is complete.
