To develop and implement bespoke CCTV strategies for Major/Complex/Homicide investigations, being responsible for the management, coordination and supervision of resources to deliver strategic objectives. To be responsible for the delivery of CCTV evidence at court and managing and supervising a dedicated CCTV team in the recovery, review and presentation of CCTV evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a bespoke CCTV strategy in line with the Senior Investigating Officers investigative objectives for a serious or complex investigation ensuring a timely and a quality of service.
- To manage, co-ordinate and supervise Police Staff and Police officers in the effective gathering, submission and use of CCTV. Undertaking risk assessments of the CCTV recovery to manage the priority of CCTV material to be recovered which could be lost to overwrite periods. Providing clear leadership in setting of objectives
- Accurately review and interpret CCTV material recovered and complete related evidential documentation whilst adhering to the Forensic code and the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
- To brief and debrief leaders and staff ensuring all relevant information is known and to and engage with both internal and external partners to ensure the gathering of or the presenting of CCTV evidence is complete.
- To attend and present fairly and accurately CCTV evidence in trials at Court.
