Leeds District Safeguarding Clerical Officer

Location: Leeds

Full-time (40 hours a week)

1 Permanent position available

Salary: Scale 4- £27,204 - £29,859

Applications are invited for the role Leeds District Clerical Safeguarding officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review domestic abuse incidents and ensure records are accurate and any necessary safeguarding referrals are made
  • To deliver this core function, the role involves working in partnership with other internal West Yorkshire Police departments, and external forces.
  • To provide an administrative, analytical and research support role. 
  • Utilise computer systems and databases to support the Investigation Teams
  • Call taking / managing initial enquiries and directing to relevant depts / officers
  • Maintain and update all relevant computer systems.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Basic knowledge of and ability to use a range of computer packages such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative on a regular basis.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload on a daily basis.
  • Prepared to work flexible hours to suit the Safeguarding Unit’s requirements.
  • Ability to deal with the effects of crime and the emotional impact of extremely sensitive issues such as domestic violence and abuse.
