Main Purpose of Role
As an IT Service Engineer you will be providing frontline IT Support Services to all Force users, remotely and in person. You will be Installing, testing, implementing, decommissioning and configuring hardware, software and infrastructure services for new or replacement technology, fixing problems and helping customers across the force get the most from their IT.
Key Skills & Experience Required
You will need recent experience of working in a large and complex IT environment, as part of a team and have a technical knowledge and experience of configuring/ supporting devices in a Windows managed environment.
Experience of O365, Active Directory and SCCM would be a real advantage, along with experience of supporting:
- Printers/photocopiers/scanners
- Workstations and servers both physical and virtual
- Remote access
- Laptops/mobile/handheld devices
- Projectors
- Video Conferencing
- Associated USB devices and supporting encryption software
- Integrated communications systems
- Wiring protocols i.e. CAT5e, CAT6
- Adaptive Technologies
Knowledge of site surveys, ergonomics, implementing office moves and changes, including Health & Safety assessments
