FTC/Secondment from 29/06/2026 – 05/08/2027
Full time
Are you a detail-oriented professional ready to make a significant impact in law enforcement? We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the crucial role of IRB Systems and Compliance Officer, a brand-new role for Thames Valley Police.
Your responsibilities include conducting thorough audits on key law enforcement databases, rectifying inaccuracies, and implementing preventive procedures. You will take charge of PND administration for TVP, SECTU, and SEROCU, managing covert licenses and performing usage audits.
You will be required to develop and maintain best auditing practices whilst identifying and deterring information system vulnerabilities, managing internal access breaches, and notifying relevant authorities. You will be required to attend regional/national working groups to maximise the benefits of critical police systems.
You will maintain PNC/LEDS and PND User Groups, ensuring compliance with Force policy and distribute the Daily Activity Files in line with Hendon requirements, ensuring timely updates on PNC records to relevant departments. Additionally, you will undertake interrogation of critical systems for intelligence gathering and present your findings to appropriate audiences.
If you are a TVP employee and have you been in your current post for less than 12 months, you need to seek approval from your line manager to be eligible to apply for this role.
If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
