Job Title: Inventory Support Operative
Salary: The starting salary is £36,228, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.
The salary is broken down as £33,219 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £35,541. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting time to be working as the Inventory Support Operative for the Technical Support Unit (TSU) in the Covert Policing Command (MO3) for the Metropolitan Police Service.

Key Responsibilities- Work Involves
The role holder will report directly to the Technical Stores Manager and will be overseen by the Head of Central Function. The main core duties include looking after the day-to-day operations of the TSU to ensure that equipment, IT, finance, general administration and Procurement requirements are met.
The role holder will provide practical support to the TSU which will include, supporting the operational teams with managing the flow of equipment in and out of the stores, logging its movements on an asset database, dealing with deliveries and equipment, support the work of the Covert Assets Facility and supporting the TSU Band D Office Manager and Technical Stores Manager.
Be responsible for maintaining and overseeing databases detailing a variety of functions such as, Health & Safety function in the department, Consumable items stocked to the correct levels in the stores, all procurement orders entered on a monthly spreadsheet and annual ladders inspections.
Vetting
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post.
