We have an exciting opportunity to join the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) as an Intelligence Research Officer, where you’ll play a key role in managing intelligence at multiple levels, ensuring it is accurately evaluated and appropriately shared. This includes processing all intelligence‑related queries received by the force, carrying out the necessary research and development, and ensuring timely distribution.
During your time in the role, you will undertake the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme to become an accredited Intelligence Researcher.
You’ll be
- Linking intelligence ensuring future research is not affected by incorrect information.
- Assessing intelligence to identify threat and risk, escalating to management as required.
- Processing Acquisitive Crime notifications from the Ministry of Justice and evaluating Suspicious Activity Reports.
You must have
- Research experience, including using a variety of databases to gather, analyse and manage data.
- Previously produced high quality and accurate written correspondence with attention to detail.
- Experience managing phone enquiries and responding verbally and in writing.
