As part of the team working in the Specialist Crime Division, you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of Intelligence Support to our officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities -
County Lines encompasses several high threat crime areas including, Criminal Exploitation, Drugs, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, Firearms, Mental Health and Serious and Organised Crime. Whilst many of the crimes and behaviours are pre-existing, it is this exploitation of children and vulnerable young people that poses the greatest risk.
Police Scotland’s County Lines Coordination Team (Operation Marron) provide coordination, oversight and support to local policing divisions across Scotland, ensuring a consistent and joined up approach in prioritising the controlling networks that present the highest threat, risk and harm nationally.
As part of a small team, you will be responsible for assessing, identifying crossovers and mitigating the threats, risks and harms associated with County Lines criminality across our Scottish communities.
Deliver critical insights to enable Police Scotland, external and multi-agency partners to effectively safeguard children and vulnerable adults, while strengthening our collective understanding of the operational models used by County Lines crime groups.
This post is part time, 28 hours which will be Monday - Thursday 0800-1530.
