Full-time vacancy
FTC/Secondment until 31/12/2028
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Thames Valley Police as an Intelligence Analyst supporting Operation Beaconport, a national programme focused on the review and re-investigation of non-recent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) cases.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide specialist intelligence and analytical support to complex investigations, helping to identify offenders, victims, locations, networks and organised criminality linked to CSAE. You will undertake intelligence development, research and threat assessments, producing high-quality tactical and strategic analytical products to support investigative decision-making, safeguarding activity and the identification of intelligence-led opportunities.
The role will involve assessing current and emerging threats, risks and harms, identifying and addressing intelligence gaps, and supporting the prevention, disruption and prosecution of CSAE offenders. You will work closely with investigators, intelligence officers, safeguarding professionals and regional organised crime partners to develop a comprehensive understanding of offending patterns and support the effective progression of investigations.
The post holder will support the application of Serious and Organised Crime methodologies within CSAE investigations, including the use of MoRiLE and APMIS, and contribute to intelligence sharing across local, regional and national policing partners. Through high-quality analytical products and intelligence development, you will help identify opportunities for enforcement, safeguarding and the pursuit of justice for victims and survivors.
Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
As part of the Thames Valley Police family, you will enjoy a fantastic range of benefits including 30 days annual leave per annum, pro-rata for part time (plus Bank Holidays), flexible working conditions, a wide range of lifestyle discounts, career development opportunities and have the option to join a local government pension scheme. For more information on our benefits, please visit the supporting you page, via the link at the bottom of the advert.
If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job-related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
