About the Role
Technology is changing the way policing works, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and curious Innovation Technician to help us make the most of it.
Working within the Digital Innovation Team, you'll help colleagues make the most of technology by supporting users, configuring solutions, testing new functionality and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. This is a varied role where you'll combine technical skills, problem solving and innovation to help shape how the organisation works. You'll work with a wide range of Microsoft tools including Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Bookings, Lists and Power Automate, helping to configure, maintain and improve the digital services that the entire workforce relies on every day.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology and finding innovative ways to improve processes. You'll work alongside experienced digital professionals, supporting users, testing new features, implementing solutions and helping the organisation get the best value from its technology investments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Responding to and resolving M365 support requests.
- Configuring and maintaining Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and other M365 tools.
- Designing and troubleshooting Power Automate workflows.
- Monitoring platform health, usage and performance.
- Testing new Microsoft features and recommending improvements.
- Producing user guides, technical documentation and knowledge articles.
- Supporting governance, security and compliance requirements.
- Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Contributing ideas to improve business processes and digital services.

What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting or administering Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience creating and maintaining Power Automate workflows.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, Lists, Planner, Bookings and related M365 tools.
- Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and simple way.
- Experience producing accurate technical documentation.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
