Identification Officer

Key Responsibilities -

    To analyse fingerprint images to aid in the Identification of known individuals within the Criminal Justice System throughout the UK and to maintain the National Fingerprint Collection for Scotland in line with legislation and Criminal History System (CHS) fingerprint weeding and retention policies.

    As well as this, this role will provide operational support to the National Police System(s) within Forensic Services which includes processing data administration, quality assurance and customer service and provide a national footwear intelligence service to Police Scotland.

    For this role, you will ideally be trained in CHS (preferred) or PNC systems, however, further training will also be provided.

    This role will follow the shift pattern attached, however there will be 2 different rotations. Due to the nature of this role, this position will be office-based.
