We’re looking for an experienced and driven ICT Technical Programme Management Lead to take ownership of delivering a complex portfolio of technology programmes and projects.
In this senior leadership role, you will lead multidisciplinary ICT programme and project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. You’ll play a key role in maximising benefits, optimising resources, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable technology solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of ICT programmes and projects to deliver outcomes on time, within budget, and to quality standards
- Develop and maintain programme plans, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical strategies
- Ensure effective governance across programmes, including risk, issue, dependency and resource management
- Drive quality assurance including testing, documentation, and successful transition into live service
- Lead, coach, and develop programme and project management staff, fostering a high-performance culture
About You
You are a highly experienced ICT programme leader with a strong track record of delivering complex technology initiatives in large organisations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading large-scale ICT programmes within complex environments
- Deep expertise in programme and project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2)
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, resource management, and programme governance
- Experience managing suppliers and working within multi-vendor environments
- Broad technical understanding (architecture, infrastructure, networks, cloud technologies)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to influence and deliver through matrix teams
Desirable
- Knowledge of ITIL, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 frameworks

Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason, a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
