As an HR Operations Administrator you will play a pivotal role providing support and guidance to the Officers, staff and volunteers of Devon & Cornwall Police on matters relating to the employment lifecycle process whilst providing excellent customer service. This role will enable you to build on already strong administrative skills and will expose you to a variety of HR processes. You will be excellent at managing your time and workload and methodical in your approach. You will be able to follow instructions and working practices to ensure deadlines are met. Tasks will include responding to our internal customers via method such as face to face, over the telephone and email correspondence. You will manage a variety of lifecycle processes, such as attendance, probation, taking time away from work i.e. Maternity or Career Breaks and the leavers process. This is not an extensive list of the HR Admin processes; you will be allocated a specific portfolio to manage.
This role will be based within Exeter, at our Police Headquarters, but as a new member of the team, you will be given training on the Force’s HR processes over a defined period of time, with support from the team, in the workplace. When training is complete, and pending any additional learning required, the role can become a hybrid worker, meaning you will have the flexibility to work from home throughout the week.
