Salary: £40,383 - £42,612

Location: Wyke Way, Melton

Hours:  37 Hours Per Week (Full-Time) Monday to Friday

Flexibility Requirement: Candidates must be open to flexible daily working hours to meet the operational needs of the department. This may include adjusting start and finish times, providing cover during peak periods, or supporting colleagues during absences. Flexibility is essential to ensure consistent service delivery and effective team collaboration.

Contract: Permanent

Overall, Purpose of the role: The post holder will lead on the service delivery and continuous improvement of the estates function. Holds management responsibility for the Joint Estates Service (JES) Support Team (Utilities, Waste, Contractor Vetting, Access Control System and General Estates Administration).  To support other estates functions in Facilities Management, Estate Management and Programme Management activity for both the Police and Fire Services in line with the delivery of the Estates Strategy.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the Joint Estates Support Team in successful service delivery in meeting the demands of both the Police and Fire Estate.
  • To manage and develop the Joint Estates Support Team to ensure opportunities and progression are prioritised, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for innovation. 
  • You will develop and report against KPI’s related to the estates service delivery, meeting the expectations of both Police and Fire services, aligned to the Estates collaboration agreement with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS).
  • The successful candidate will proactively drive and evolve a high degree of service delivery though active stakeholder engagement and service evaluation. Ensuring high quality performance delivery in meeting the agreed standards.
  • To manage and deliver key internal strategic projects for both the Police and Fire Services working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery.
  • You will manage and monitor specific JES related budgets for effective and efficient delivery (i.e. utilities, waste etc.).
  • To maintain a proactive role in seeking and identifying new developments in respect of estates related projects, including additional grant funding and sustainability/green initiatives.

 

  • Develop Police and Fire Services property management information systems to provide relevant, accurate and timely information to aid strategic, tactical and operational decision-making processes.

What the role requires:

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Possess a qualification (Level 5 or equivalent) in business management and service improvement, and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Budget control, service planning, performance management and project management within a large organisation.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to allocate resources, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Experience of working in a confidential environment.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
  • Experience of using computers to input, amend and extract information.
  • Ability to search and interrogate computer systems/database
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have access to a vehicle and able to travel the force area.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
