Job Title: Holmes Trainer Learning and Development

Salary: The starting salary is £40,519, which includes allowances totalling £3,009.

The salary is broken down as £37,510 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £40,141. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

This is an exciting time to be working as a trainer of HOLMES for the Metropolitan Police Service.

The post holder’s primary role will be to undertake the training of the following HOLMES Courses in line with the annual HOLMES Training schedule and to provide on-going and long-term high quality, professional learning and development opportunities to all of the HOLMES users

  • HOLMES Disclosure Officer Course CS126
  • HOLMES Enquiry Officer course CS395
  • HOLMES Exhibit Officer Course CS122
  • HOLMES Indexer Course CS127
  • HOLMES Office Manager Course CS340
  • HOLMES Refresher Course CS237
  • HOLMES Senior Investigating Officer CS219

Additionally, the post holder will be required to undertake the following activities within the HOLMES Training team

  • Develop learning programme material and resources.
  • Marking of student databases following assessments.
  • Preparation of all course materials prior to courses.
  • Attend monthly HOLMES Incident Manager Meetings to represent HOLMES training.
  • Provide one to one tutorials with students.
  • Creation and deletion of student databases.

Location and working hours:

Shifts are Monday-Friday, with some flexibility to meet the criteria of the role as and when required.
