As part of the team working in the Specialist Crime Division, you can make a real difference by supporting the provision of Major Crime to our officers and staff.
Key Responsibilities -
The successful candidate will be expected to follow a recognised 7-day Major Crime shift pattern which includes weekend working.
The successful candidate must be in a position to attend the upcoming 4-week HOLMES course, taking place at Force Training and Recruitment Centre, Jackton between 7th September and 2nd October 2026. This course is formally assessed and successful completion is essential.
You will join the newly established Unresolved Case Team and form part of the Major Incident Room, providing efficient, proficient and effective HOLMES service with regards to all aspects of Unresolved Case Team Administration and Investigation, utilising the HOLMES computerised system.
Reporting to the Office Manager you will undertake all duties pertaining to the Indexing role, following instructions and directions from the Document Manager and/or Office Manager as appropriate.
The successful candidate should be educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an administrative or business discipline, with additional experience within a Law Enforcement environment. Where no formal qualifications exist, proven experience within a Law Enforcement environment, ideally incorporating work within a HOLMES or Major Incident Room environment.
