Head of Communications and Engagement - Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner

A vacancy has arisen in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for a Head of Communications and Engagement.

The successful candidate will provide a high-quality media, public affairs and public engagement function to Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience managing reputational risk and high-profile issues, the ability to give clear, concise and authoritative advice, and ability to negotiate and exert influence when required.

If you have sound judgement and integrity and can work under pressure managing multiple issues simultaneously, you may be right person for the job. Previous experience working in a political environment would be useful, but not essential.

The closing date for completed applications is 10am on Friday 3 July 2026.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 15 or Thursday 16 July 2026.
