Gwent Police Transferee Police Inspector / Detective Inspector

Gwent Police are welcoming applications from experienced Police Inspectors and Detective Inspectors to join us.

We are looking for officers who have a range of experience in operational policing roles to bring their skills and experience to support the communities of Gwent.

We want our residents, businesses and visitors to be confident in our ability to prevent and tackle crime.  We cover an area of 600 square miles, including the five local authority areas of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen. With a mix of rural and urban communities, our area also includes key routes such the M4 through south Wales.  We also police the main route into Wales from England – the Prince of Wales Bridge.

From serious, organised crime to domestic burglars, protecting our most vulnerable community members is at the heart of what we do.

To be eligible to apply you must have completed your probationary period and be substantive in rank. We are only able to accept transfer requests from territorial police forces in England and Wales.

Transfers only apply to police officers.

  • References (your current force and, if you have less than 5 years service, any other employer(s) in that timeframe)
