This opportunity will allow insight into the day to day working of police legal teams. You will be able to develop your skills and knowledge, gaining a clearer understanding of how the Evolve Legal Services team operates.
Evolve Legal Services is a policing collaboration that delivers in-house professional and legal services on behalf of the Chief Constables of Cleveland Police, North Yorkshire Police and Durham Constabulary, the Police and Crime Commissioners for Cleveland and Durham and the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority (Deputy Mayor for Police, Fire, Crime and Commissioning on policing matters).
You will support the legal team by carrying out supervised legal and administrative tasks, to progress legal matters efficiently and professionally. You will support the lawyers and paralegals with casework across our thematic areas, undertaking tasks such as legal research, drafting, documentary preparation and collation and other administrative duties. Our thematic teams include Civil Litigation, Corporate, Employment, Operational and the Civil Disclosure Unit.

This is an unpaid work experience placement. Working hours will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidates, however we envisage that this is opportunity will be undertaken during university holiday periods.
