ERSOU - ROCU - Police Staff - SO1 - IDO - Adult Sex Work Referral Hub (FTC/Temp)

Join a team reducing harm through intelligence

Due to the continuation and expansion of Operation PLUTO, an opportunity has arisen for two Intelligence Development Officers to join the Adult Sex Work (ASW) Referral Hub. Working as part of a small team based within ERSOU, successful candidates will contribute to intelligence development, safeguarding and offender disruption.

This opportunity is open to internal Police Staff supported by their line management and Head of Department, whilst external candidates will be offered a fixed-term contract.

About the Project

Funded by the Home Office, the Policing Adult Sexual Exploitation Programme is a pioneering national initiative designed to strengthen policing's ability to disrupt adult sexual exploitation and violence against women and girls (VAWG). Following a successful pilot phase, funding has been secured until 31 March 2028, enabling the expansion of the ASW Referral Hub (Operation PLUTO) into an enhanced national capability. Hosted within ERSOU on behalf of the NPCC Sex Work Portfolio, the Hub works with police forces, ROCUs and specialist partners to develop intelligence, improve safeguarding and tackle perpetrators involved in sexual exploitation and associated organised criminality.

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and inquisitive Intelligence Development Officers to join this growing national capability. Working within the ASW Referral Hub, you will research, develop and assess intelligence relating to adult sexual exploitation, analyse referrals from police and partner agencies, and produce intelligence packages that support safeguarding, investigations and disruption activity. This is a unique opportunity to develop specialist expertise, work with partners across England and Wales, and play a direct role in protecting vulnerable people and improving the national response to exploitation.
