You will work within a team of highly skilled and dedicated detectives using a variety of covert investigation methods. The team target serious crime including significant drug traffickers, firearm suppliers and those heading organised immigration crime.
You will be based in South Bedfordshire but will have the ability to deploy direct to various locations across the Region. Core shifts are 0800 - 1600, Monday to Friday, however a flexible approach to working hours is required.
This is a demanding role, for surveillance trained qualified detective. Candidates will need to be motivated, dedicated and take pride in delivering quality service. In return ERSOU will develop you to become amongst the most highly skilled and capable detectives in the UK.
There are further opportunities for development and specialisms once trained.
Selection will be via paper application, surveillance pre-assessment and interview. The application and interview phases are looking for evidence of your ability to investigate serious organised crime and work on complex cases. If you are not an advanced driver you will need to complete an advanced driving pre-select prior to being offered a position.
