ERSOU - ROCU - PC/DC - Proactive Economic Crime Team (PECT)

ERSOU Proactive Economic Crime Team (PECT) are currently recruiting for a Detective or Constable to join an exciting team that targets organised criminals who prey on the most vulnerable within our communities. The PECT will utilise both criminal (covert and overt) and civil powers to target organised criminals to cause disruption, seize and deny their assets and confiscate items from those who benefit from their suspected criminal activities.

As part of the PECT you will be working together with the Regional Forces, other ROCUs and City of London Police, focusing on proactive action against Serious and Organised Fraud and Economic Crime. The team consists of 4 DSs and 16 Police Officers/ Civilian Investigators, together with 2 Intelligence Development Officers and 2 Analyst.

The post is open to Detective Constables and/or Police Constables (with support available to pursue the Trainee Investigator pathway). Ideally you will already have a proven track record of working with partners, intelligence building, and delivering operational outcomes which includes experience of Athena case builds and CPS collaboration. We are keen to recruit an officer who has proactive enthusiasm and willingness to deploy at short notice; we can help you develop into the role if you have limited or no previous fraud investigation experience.
