ERSOU - ROCU - PC/DC - Investigator - Regional Immigration Operations Team (OIC)

ERSOU’s Regional Immigration Operations Team is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Detective Constable. This role will is part of a newly formed team comprised of two investigators and a financial intelligence officer, reporting into the DI/PSE OIC Regional Co-ordinators. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the Eastern Region’s response to organised immigration crime by building cases and using other enforcement tactics to identify, disrupt, and dismantle Organised Crime Groups (OCGs).

This is an opportunity to work tackling complex and high‑harm criminality that significantly impacts our communities and is a priority for both the region, NCA and the Home Office. You will play a vital role in developing investigations from intelligence through to arrest, charge, and prosecution.

These prosecutions will focus on offences under the Immigration Act 1971 and Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025. You will work collaboratively with financial investigators to ensure that asset recovery opportunities from such investigations are maximised. In circumstances where a prosecution is unlikely, you may look to build cases towards Account Freezing Order applications.

You will work collaboratively with ERSOU teams (including those with an OIC capability) regional forces, other ROCUs, and national partner agencies. You may be required to deploy at short notice to react to intelligence and carry out enforcement action. We welcome officers who are proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to developing their investigative skillset.

It is likely that you will be tasked with supporting force-based operations targeting OIC. These operations may include the upstream investigation from jobs originating in force, warrants, road operations, maritime and port-based intensifications.
