Cover Officer’s responsibilities include providing tactical advice, managing deployments, working with the operational team, and looking after the day-to-day security and welfare of Undercover Operatives. Strength of character, personal resilience, and an ability to engage and relate to people are critical personal attributes required for this role.
Experience in investigating complex CSEA investigations, serious crime, and knowledge of online Undercover policing techniques is desirable. Experience in the practical application of Risk Assessment, identifying risk and implementing comprehensive mitigation strategies is essential. The successful candidate may hold current relevant CHIS handling qualifications, National accredited Undercover Operative or previous experience in UCF operations will be an obvious benefit.
You will work closely in support of a DS and DI ensuring compliance to National Standards are adhered to. The successful applicant may be required to travel away from their current force area throughout the Region.
There is a requirement to be flexible around duty times.
