The role holder will undertake a wide variety of interesting work, and will have the opportunity to support the delivery of local, regional and national projects
Whilst duties will vary in nature and over time, an initial key responsibility will be to coordinate the delivery of Strategic Governance Groups into SOC Threat Areas, participated in and lead by Chief Officers from the 7 Forces. Working to the SGG lead, the role holder will ensure the SGG Threat Areas are properly informed, support the development of 4P Plans, oversee the creation of tactical delivery groups, instigate projects and provide a link into national working groups, HMICFRS, partners etc.
The role holder will be required to work independently, be able to build relationships with senior officers, and produce briefings and communications to a wide audience.
The role will have exposure to senior officer decision making and national projects. Having existing knowledge of SOC or CT issues would be an advantage.
The role will lead our effective and professional Intelligence Department as DCI Threat Intelligence, supporting the delivery of the Serious Organised Crime strategy in the East of England and the mission, vision, values of ERSOU.
