ERSOU - CTP - PC/DC - Nominal Management Officer - Pursue

An opportunity has arisen for a PC/DC role within the CT Nominal Management Unit within ERSOU-CTP. Given the nature of regional working within CT policing there may be a requirement to travel throughout the Eastern Region based on operational needs, but officers will have a permanent nominated ERSOU base in either BEDS CAMBS or SUFFOLK. Hours of work are generally office hours Monday - Friday, with a requirement for some weekend/ evening working if operational needs deem necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main undefined of the role will be the day-to-day overt active management of identified nominals within the region, working in partnership with Probation, Prisons and other UK intelligence partners, in the interests of National Security to mitigate risk and enrich intelligence. Applicants will be expected to represent CT Nominal Management at partnership meetings such as MAPPA and work closely with Probation Practitioners in the community. Applicants will be managing a cohort of nominals, maintaining accurate records and submitting relevant and timely intelligence. As a small team covering six forces officers are required to work independently with minimal supervision.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they are competent in the substantive rank, be fully fit without restrictions and be up to date with PPST and First aid.

Applicants must be an authorised police driver (Response) with a full UK driving licence. It is desirable for applicants to pass the Police Advanced Driving Course and undertake a Taser course.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate competence in their current role and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate must also be able to drive as this role involves travel throughout the Eastern region.
