We are looking for someone to join us as an Electrical Works Coordinator in our Estates & Facilities Department. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

Located at the Estates Office, Headquarters Bridgend. 

The successful candidate will work as part of the Estates & Facilities team who are also delivering a range of functions including Capital Projects, Minor Works Projects, Environmental Projects, managing of routine maintenance and facilities, contract management and compliance work for over 100 properties across the South Wales Police estate.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated individual with Electrical experience to join our Electrical Team in providing testing and support services across the South Wales Police area.  The successful person will undertake day to day Electrical compliance work to help keep everything compliant with National Standards. There will also have an opportunity once settled in to join the on-call rota for building emergencies.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

The successful candidate must

  • Provide general information to customers (internal and external), on the phone, face-to-face and electronic, based on existing departmental procedures
  • Carry out repair and maintenance duties as requested and provide assistance and support to trades people as instructed.
  • To carry out general administrative duties which may include:-
    • Word processing/keyboarding
    • Formatting documents
    • Co-ordination of office diaries
    • Ordering
    • Operate associated machinery/equipment which is essential to the role

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
