Support frontline policing with specialist drug expertise.
As Drug Support Supervisor you will provide day to day supervision of the Drug Support Unit and guidance around the handling, packaging, movement, safe storage and disposal of controlled drugs.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide liaison, internally and externally, in respect of controlled drug investigations.
- Manage the provision of evidential drug identification in respect of drug possession offences in line with EDIT procedures.
- Co-ordinate enquiries in respect of pre-cursor chemicals and illicit laboratories.
The must haves
- Qualification and/or experience of research and/or development in the field of controlled drugs, understanding of the use, causes and effects of controlled drugs.
- Proven experience of and involvement in drug investigations.
- Experience and ability to supervise, mentor and train staff.
