To clean and maintain the dog training school kennels to a high standard, adhering to health and safety regulations. There is also a requirement to undertake administrative tasks as required.
Caring for police dogs in their kennels; this includes ensuring that the dogs are exercised and fed as required.
Responsible for the ordering of all stock and equipment used in the kennel facility and HQ Dog Training School and ensuring that stock levels are maintained to a satisfactory level at all times.
Receiving general telephone calls and liaison with groups (e.g. Puppy Walkers etc.) and suppliers/Officers as required.
This list of duties is not restrictive or exhaustive and the postholder may be required to carry out duties from time to time that are either commensurate with/or lower than the grade of the post. In some posts this might include the ad-hoc provision of guidance and informal training of new colleagues.
Appointment into this position will be from w/c 11th January 2027.
