Disclosure Scheme Officer - Police Staff

Main Purpose of Role

Support victims and potential victims of domestic abuse through the delivery of a consistent domestic violence disclosure scheme process.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience of gathering and analysing information
  • Experience of communicating effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience of producing written reports
  • Posses sound knowledge of IT skills, including WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK
  • Ability to effectively use force IT systems following training
  • An Understanding of legislation – DVDS, GDPR, Management of Police Information, Computer Misuse Act
  • Able to plan, manage and prioritise workload to agreed timescales
  • Organised and self-motivated, ensuring the timely provision of correct, complete and consistent information
  • Able to work effectively as a team member, demonstrating resilience and flexibility
  • Be able to make decisions regarding risk levels according to guidance and a professional judgement
  • Able to deal with confidential information and deal with issues of a sensitive nature
  • Able to work effectively as a team member, demonstrating resilience and flexibility
  • Hold a GCSE grade 4 or above in English or NVQ level 3 qualification
  • Desirable Full uk Driving Licence
