With three-year funding secured to deliver our ambitious Lincs 2030 vision, we are seeking an exceptional Director of Finance and Commercial with an understanding of police or local government finance and experience of S151 responsibilities.
The post holder will drive financial sustainability, commercial excellence, and value for money across the force. This opportunity arises due to the retirement of our current postholder, offering the chance for a new leader to make a lasting impact at executive level.
The opportunity
As Director of Finance and Commercial, and a core member of the Chief Officer Team, you will:
Play a critical role in shaping organisational strategy and decision-making at the highest level
Ensure financial resilience, integrity, and sustainability across the force
Lead a modern, forward-looking finance and commercial function
Drive best value, commercial innovation, and strategic investment decisions
Support the delivery of Lincs 2030, aligning resources to our future policing model
You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to the Chief Constable and Chief Officer colleagues, in addition to maintaining an effective, cooperative and constructive working relationship with the Police & Crime Commissioner’s (PCC’s) Chief Finance Officer (CFO), to balance robust financial stewardship with ambition and innovation in the delivery of public services.
