About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Digital Forensics professional to lead the achievement and maintenance of ISO 17025 accreditation and Forensic Science Regulator (FSR) Code compliance within our Digital Forensic Unit (DFU). This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring high standards in digital evidence examination while supporting complex police investigations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation and FSR compliance across the DFU
  • Managing UKAS surveillance visits, inspections, and scope extensions
  • Conducting forensic examinations of digital devices, recovering and analysing evidential data
  • Producing high-quality reports and technical statements to support investigations
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on digital evidence to colleagues and external partners
  • Supporting staff management, workloads, and welfare in the absence of the DFU Manager
  • Delivering training, briefings, and presentations on digital forensic developments
  • Working closely with Quality Management teams and contributing to national standards discussions
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation and professional standards
