Digital Forensic Unit Technical Manager
Role Purpose:
Responsibility for leading digital media operations and activities at the technical laboratory facility within the Digital Forensics Unit (DFU). CCTV Technical lead to assist NWP in gaining accreditation to ISO17025 across its digital forensic laboratory services, maintaining and extending the scope of accreditation where appropriate. Supporting the growth of CCTV collection and operations in a wider NWP capacity,
Also responsible for mentoring and coaching police staff and officers in relation to digital forensic issues; identifying, influencing and implementing opportunities for efficiencies and continuous improvement.
You will be required to demonstrate in your application the minimum requirements for the role.
- Thorough knowledge of digital forensics CCTV working processes, methods and procedures, to enable the embedding and implementation of further processes, methods and procedures.
- Demonstrate a professional and structured approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills to report on complex technical matters.
- Ability to manage own time to maximise performance.
- Has a working knowledge and experience of International Standards and relevant guidance material: BS EN ISO/IEC 17025, ILAC G19 and Forensic Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct.
- Can hold a position of authority within the technical environment to influence and implement changes to processes.
