We are inviting police officers from across England and Wales to transfer into our Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) department, as part of the Force’s ambitious Lincs 2030 transformation and investment programme.
The recruitment drive comes following significant investment in both Detective Constables and Detective Sergeants to work in our investigation and safeguarding teams, creating new opportunities for PIP2 investigators in particular, who want to make a lasting difference to the lives of some of the county’s most vulnerable people.
The PVP department investigates some of the most complex and challenging crimes, including child abuse, sexual offences and offences involving vulnerable adults. Their work also complements that of Major Crime, who are also currently recruiting staff, so there are numerous opportunities. As demand continues to increase nationally, Lincolnshire Police is investing in additional specialist officers to strengthen its ability to protect victims, pursue offenders and improve outcomes for communities in all areas of the county.
The recruitment campaign forms part of Lincolnshire Police’s wider ambition under Lincs 2030 to modernise policing, invest in specialist capability and provide an outstanding service to communities across the county.
From 01 September 2026 through to 31 August 2027, transferees joining our Protecting Vulnerable Persons (PVP) teams may be eligible to receive an additional £200 per month payment through the Targeted Variable Payment (TVP) Scheme, recognising the valuable and challenging work undertaken within our PVP Hubs.
Our PVP Hubs are based at Lincoln, Grantham, Skegness, and Boston stations, with current vacancies available across all locations.
We're currently welcoming applications from Detective Sergeant transferees to join our team with multiple intakes planned, the next of which commences early February 2027. If this intake does not align with your needs, please contact us to discuss further.
To apply, candidates must already hold PIP2 accreditation and be confirmed in the rank of Sergeant, having completed their work based assessment.
To support a smooth transition into Lincolnshire Police, we are also pleased to offer a Transferring Officer Relocation Expenses Package for eligible applicants. This package allows transferees to claim up to £8,000 towards the costs associated with relocating to Lincolnshire.
Eligible expenses may include:
Removal and storage fees
Solicitor’s and estate agent fees related to the sale of your former home (against pre-agreed estimates)
Solicitor’s fees, estate agent fees, and stamp duty costs for acquiring a new property
Initial expenses for arranging rental of a previously owned property
We also welcome applications from those seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements.
