Detective Constable Transferee

Exciting opportunity for qualified Detective Constables!

Nottinghamshire Police are now accepting Transferee applications from PIP2 qualified Detective Constables OR Trainee Detective Constables who have passed their NIE and are currently on programme. Nottinghamshire Police will support applicants who have not yet completed a PIP2 course, they would be enrolled on our in force PIP2 course which is provided by our fantastic in house crime training team. 

We are seeking talented and high performing officers who are passionate about being a Detective or aspiring to be a Detective to join our ever-expanding Investigator work force to investigate some of our most serious and complex investigations.

We have a diverse investigator establishment with roles including Detectives, Fast track Detectives and Police Staff Investigators that make up our existing workforce. 

We currently have vacancies in Public Protection RASSO roles, Child Abuse Investigation Unit (CAIU) and CID, but also in our Fraud Team if you are SFIP trained. 

Nottinghamshire is currently committed to expanding and enhance our investigator establishment. As a Force we are totally committed in providing the best training and support packages for our investigators which includes PIP2 training, VRI, Communications Data and enhanced Investigator training programmes such as Tier 3 and Tier 5 interview courses, available to you.

We have a bespoke fast-track transferee process in place and will tailor training to your needs whilst fully recognising previous qualifications and skills. We are flexible enough to offer postings across the whole force area, and any training will be completed in our new state of the art training school.

To transfer to Nottinghamshire Police from a Home Office Police force, you must: 

 - Be a serving officer in a recognised Home Office police force at the rank of Constable. 

 - must have completed the 2/3 year probationary period and PIP1 portfolio. 

 - Must be qualified to PIP2 OR must have an NIE pass and currently be on programme (PIP2 course attendance not necessary and can be provided in Nottinghamshire Police) 

 - Be free from complaints and hold a full UK/EU manual driving licence. 

We are seeking transferee applicants who are enthusiastic, driven and share our relentless drive to deliver excellent service to the public. 

Applicants will be required to undertake a training needs analysis as part of the selection process. 

If your application is successful, you will be held in a candidate pool until a suitable vacancy arises. We cannot guarantee a transfer, nor give a timeline at present. You will receive further, more specific information regarding this during the recruitment process.

Vetting Level - Recruitment - you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 3 years.
