Strengthen operational security across law enforcement.
As the Deputy Regional Operational Security Advisor for the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) on a 12-month fixed term/secondment basis, you will play a critical role in identifying, managing and reducing operational security threats, risks and vulnerabilities across law enforcement agencies.
With a strong focus on covert activity, you will provide specialist advise on the operational security, conduct and integrity of assets and techniques, ensuring full compliance with policy, standards and best practice.
You’ll be
- Proactively supporting stakeholders to reduce risk and ensure security management plans are in place.
- Conducting operational security reviews to ensure the plans in place are effective.
- Advising on security incidents, legislative breaches and compromises to mitigate organisational threat.
You must have
- An Operational Security Advisor licence from the College of Policing or achieve this during appointment.
- Operational security knowledge regarding covert/overt investigations, policy and tactical development.
- Problem solving experience in difficult situations including complex and major incidents.
