City of Manchester DRMU currently has vacancies for 1 x grade C administrator and 2 x Grade B admin assistants.( Apply to Vacancy 526 for grade B posts).
Both roles require excellent computer skills and an attention to detail with the ability to work to time sensitive deadlines and work under pressure. The DRMU are responsible for the daily staffing of the CoM which totals around 1500 staff and police officers and we deal with matters relating to pay as well as ensuring daily business is dealt with by the correct resources.
DRMU Administrator. Your role as an administrator will involve updating the duty management system to ensure that the establishment is reflected accurately. You will be involved in the bi-monthly resource management group meetings and will then assist in transferring staff on WFS and DMS. You will be competent with Microsoft products such as Excel, Planner and Word and will have a good knowledge of GMP`s establishment, policies and procedures from an HR perspective.
There will be frequent interactions with members of the local SLT and the successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of GDPR, Freedom of Information and Human Rights Legislation. Additional duties will include: -
- Maintain the annual roster, divisional planner and duty management abstraction systems for all officers and employees as appropriate, taking into account pre-planned events, in order to obtain optimum levels of resourcing within prescribed divisional resourcing ‘safety levels’.
- Check and update future duties, taking into account training, court, leave and operational commitments.
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient staff are on duty at all times to effectively and safely cover policing requirements on the division.
- Provide command team with daily deployment of officers.
- Liaise with police officers of all rank and police staff regarding matters affecting personnel.
- Develop and maintain a range of IT and/or hard copy records and ensure the availability of accurate information both for performance and analysis purposes and to advise the Divisional command team on all aspects of resource distribution and deployment, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation at all times.
- If you have responsibility for staff; to manage staff development, performance and attendance using appropriate GMP policy and procedure.
